Welcome to The Lake Garda Improvement Association Located in Burlington and Unionville, Connecticut, Lake Garda is a lakeside community developed in 1943 as a “Paradise in the Pines” where members can enjoy swimming, boating, fishing and walking.

Lake Garda features three sandy beaches that are popular with swimmers. With its natural sprints and gentle current, the lake is consistently among the areas cleanest. Click here to learn more.Harry Battistoni emigrated from Italy to New Britain, Connecticut, shortly after World War I. He founded a construction company that prospered. In the 1920s he purchased a couple of farms, dammed up a small brook and created the lake.
